Young Scientist Shaastra Juniors 2021 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras


Do you have an idea you think will change the world? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

We, the team of Shaastra IIT Madras bring you an opportunity to make your idea possible, through Young Scientist, a working model competition, as part of Shaastra Juniors

Young Scientist will serve as an online platform for students to showcase some of their ideas, which they believe can shape the future. Students will be given a set of topics to work on. The working models that are developed will be judged, and the winners will be announced during the last day of Shaastra Juniors.

Kindly go through the attached brochure for a detailed description of the event.




  • All participants should be students of classes 6-12. 
  • Each group can have 1-3 members. 



How to Register


  • All participants should create an account on shaastra juniors portal
  • Team leaders should register for event through the shaastra portal.
  • Team leaders then should fill the google form through the link given under the event Young Scientist in the Shaastra Juniors website.
  • Make sure to join the whatsapp group through the link you get after google form submission.
  • Team leaders should also register through d2c giving the required details.



Submission Guidelines


  • Submission will be through D2C 
    • Go through the instructions in the drive folder provided below. 
    • Submit through the google form provided in the submit session on or before 28th September
    • Tick the acknowledgement coloumn in D2C after succefully submitting the submission form and submit.
  • There are 3 parts for submission
    • Short description
    • Detailed Document
    • Video presentation
