Ashoka’s Young Scholars Programmes (YSP) are certified, summer, residential programmes, designed to give motivated students in classes 9,10,11 & 12 an exposure to a liberal arts & sciences education at the university level. Ashoka University is offering five multidisciplinary programme options during the summer break. YSP 2024 offers five interdisciplinary streams with a hands-on approach to learning.
Courses Offered
YSP Foundation Liberal Arts & Sciences (YSP FLAS)
It is a 5 day Certified Programme for students who are eager to delve into college-level liberal arts and sciences and looking to gain a comprehensive understanding of foundational disciplines. This Programme introduces students to the width & depth of Liberal Arts, Sciences i.e. from Psychology to Astrophysics to Literature to Behavioural Science by Global faculty. Students also participate in group discussions with wide ranges of topics.
YSP Frontiers of Science (YSP FoS)
It is a 5 day Certified Research based Programme for students who are passionate about the future of scientific disciples. This programme offers a multidisciplinary approach across different science streams including biosciences, astrophysics, chemistry, math, and computer science. Students also participate in group discussions that give them opportunity to apply their learning to develop & create solutions to challenging real-world problems.
YSP Tech, Data & Computer Science (YSP TDCS)
It is a 5 day Certified Programme for students who are eager to delve into topics like generative AI & ML, basic programming, cryptography, cyber security ethics and tech-driven entrepreneurship. The programme is especially curated for students eager to navigate the dynamic world of cutting-edge Technologies, Data and Computer Sciences.
YSP Economics, Policy & Society (YSP EPS)
It is a 5 day Certified Programme for students that brings forward a unique hands-on approach to Social Sciences, Humanities, and allied disciplines. Students will experience stimulating sessions on areas like Macroeconomics, Policy development, Behavioural Psychology, International Relations, Sociology, amongst many others.
YSP Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Impact (YSP ELI)
It is a 5 day practitioner led, Certified Programme for students which is a blend of theoretical insights and experiential learning, focused on the fundamentals of leadership, entrepreneurship and social impact. Focusing on core aspects, students will participate in hands-on workshops on design thinking, ethical leadership, fundamentals of branding, marketing & finance and learn from the insights of industry experts, understand the basics of risk management in new ventures, and develop skills in persuasive communications.
YSP also offers motivated & talented students the option of taking YSP Advanced (YSP Foundation, Liberal Arts & Sciences + any other stream), over a 10 day certified programme on campus.
