NMIMS School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics & Analytics (SoMASA), Mumbai is a new School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics & Analytics having an endeavour to teach mathematics as a language through some of the finest faculty using computers as an integral part of education. The institute is accredited with grade ‘A+’ by NAAC and affiliated with UGC. SoMASA is a constituent body of NMIMS (Deemed to be University), Mumbai and offers a flagship 3 year degree program in the discipline of Mathematical Sciences.

Eligibility

 

  • · Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from recognized board. Appearing candidates can also apply for the program.
  • · Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from recognized board with Mathematics/ Mathematics & Statistics as compulsory subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts with Mathematics/ Mathematics & Statistics).
  • · A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Certificate or DP or CP awarded candidates with 24 credits compulsory and has passed 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) mandatorily from any stream.
  •  · Candidates of CBSE / ICSE, should mention in the online registration / e-admission form (if selected) for 10+2 or equivalent examination, the aggregate marks of all the subjects the candidate has taken / opted and appeared for (not best of four, five, six or seven). The candidate shall have passed all the subjects he / she has taken / opted and appeared in the applicable examination/s in a single attempt. The aggregate percentage of all subjects the candidate has taken / opted and appeared will be taken into consideration for confirming eligibility of the candidate for the program at the time of admission.
  •  · In case the mark sheet issued by the applicable Board / Institution is in percentile/s, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects appeared by the candidate will be taken into consideration.
  • · The XII examination should have been conducted before the course commencement date.
  • · Candidates above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.
  • · Those candidates who have passed or are appearing (all subject/s taken / opted) for 10+2 examination from a Board / University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board / University concerned, the equivalent percentage for the GPA / CGPA obtained.

 

Selection Process:

 

  • · Merit list will be based on performance of the candidates in NMIMS-MST. The scores of NMIMS-MST will be considered for merit list process.
  • · The decision of the institute will be final in this regard and no inquiries or correspondence in this regard will be entertained Note:
  • · Candidates are required to update 12th or equivalent exam or predicted marks after the admission process.
  •  · Candidate will not be considered for merit list if they fail to update the correct information in the online registration form.
  • · It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that correct marks are entered.
  • · At any given point of time, if it is found that the information given by candidate i.e 12th or equivalent exam is incorrect, the candidate admission will be cancelled and fees will be refunded as per prescribed refund rules.
  • Candidates aspiring to join any of the above programs will have to appear for the NMIMS-MST

 

 

Note: Admission to these programs are also through SAT/ ACT scores. A separate registration form is

to be filled in case candidate is seeking admission to these programs through SAT/ ACT scores.

Candidates who have SAT/ ACT score need not appear for NMIMS – MST.

1.The registration fees is based on the number of retakes or no retake.

2.Only paid candidates will be allowed to schedule the exam.

3.Candidate can register only once. Duplicate registration from same candidate will be rejected.

 

 

 

 

 

1.After the successful registration and payment, the candidate will get options to schedule the exams by choosing the test date/s and test center.

RETAKE/S: Candidate can attempt maximum 2 RETAKES i.e. (1st main test plus 2 retakes). The highest marks among the total attempts will be considered for respective program merit process.

· Candidate can select any 2 program at the time of registration.

· Post exam, new program cannot be added.

· No Rescheduling or cancellation is allowed

 

 Important Instructions

 

  • · For cancellation/ withdrawal of admission: Withdrawal /cancellation means voluntary withdrawal/cancellation by candidate for any reason.
  • · Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidature.
  • · If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled and fees will be refunded as per refund rule clauses.
  • · It is the sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission to the courses at NMIMS.
  • · We need minimum 10 candidates to start a program.
  • · All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Mumbai only.
  • · The candidate must have appeared for all his subject(s) / exams before the commencement of the respective program (s) of NMIMS (Deemed to be University). The examination of none of the subjects should be held after the commencement of the respective course.
  • · Candidates whose final mark sheet of the qualified examination is not available at the time of their provisional admission, is required to submit their final marksheet copy as soon as the result declared. In such case, if the candidate fail to meet the required eligibility criteria then his admission will be cancelled and the fees will be refunded as per NMIMS refund rules (even after course commencement).
  • · Admission to program is considered as “Provisional Admission” till all required and mandatory documents are submitted by the candidate and the same is verified and approved. If it is found that the candidate is not eligible at any stage (even after the course commencement), admission will be cancelled and fees will be refunded as per refund rule clauses even if selected/ admitted to the program.
