Doodle 4 Google India 2018

Doodle 4 Google India contest organised by Google ivites entries from Indian students to design and submit Dooodle 4 Google on the topic. To participate in the competition,  the students have to submit the doodle as per guidelines laid by Google India. Students have to use their imagination and artistic talent to create a Doodle 4 Google on the topic. 


What is Doodle?

When vivtors log on Google website they can see a logo depeicting distinguished visions, messages and cultures every time. This logo is what, called to be Doodle.


Google 4 Doodle

  • Students in Class 1-10 are invited to take part in the 2018 Doodle 4 Google contest, and create an uplifting doodle that tells the world "What inspires me?." From crayons to clay, graphic design, young artists can utilize any materials to bring their creation to life. Like all Google Doodles, each doodle must incorporate the letters G-o-o-g-l-e. 
  • The winning Doodle will be displayed on the Google India homepage on November 14, 2018 i.e. Children's Day and the creator will receive a scholarship of Rs 5,00,000, Rs. 2,00,000 technology package for their school. The contest will be judged by very renowened peoeple in the field.

  • Gender: Any
  • Region: All India
  • Class/Age: classes 1-10

Details:

Doodles will be grouped and judged by the following 5 class groups:-

  • Class 1-2
  • Class 3-4
  • Class 5-6
  • Class 7-8
  • Class 9-10


How to Apply

Interested students can apply only through their parents/guardians/teachers. Students themselves are not allowed to register for the contest. There is no participation fee for this competition.

Step 2: Doodle: Artists create their doodles using any materials they want.

Step 3: Write: The Doodle should have a Title and Description in maximum 50 words.

Step 4: Submit: By clicking the link given above. The Doodle has to be created in the space provided in the entry form itself. The Doodle should have a Title and Description in maximum 50 words.


Important Information

  • Only parents/guardians/teachers are allowed to submit the application.
  • The application form has to be duly signed by Parent/Teacher/Guardian, without that the application will not be accepted.
  • Only one entry allowed: An individual participant can only submit only one entry for the competition.
  • If the doodle is created directly on our entry form, you can either upload them to our site as a .jpg or .png (visit the enter tab) or mail them in (address listed on the enter tab).
  • Detached doodles: If the doodle wasn't created directly on our entry form, take a high res digital photo or scan of the doodle in good lighting and combine it with the entry form.

 

Selection Prcocess

 

Doodles will be judged on the following parameters:

  • Artistic merit
  • Based on artistic skill
  • Creativity
  • Representation of the contest theme, use of the letters in the Google logo, and the unique approach to the doodle
  • Theme communication: How well the contest theme is expressed in both the artwork and the written statement.

National Winner


The National Winner will get his/her doodle showcased on www.google.co.in. He or she will also receive:

  • An INR 500,000 college scholarship
  • An INR 200,000 Technology package for their school
  • Certificate / Trophy of achievement
  • A trip to Google India Office
  • Googley Swag

 

Group Winner

The four Group Winners, who do not become the National Winner, will have their doodles featured on the Doodle 4 Google gallery. Each Group Winner will receive:

  • Trophy/Medal of recognition
  • Certificate of achievement
  • A trip to Google India Office
  • Googley Swag


National Finalists


All National finalists will have their doodles featured on the Doodle 4 Google gallery, and will receive:

  • Certificate of achievement
  • Googley Swag

Disqualifications

 

  • Doodles that are not original works and doodles that contain copyrighted or trademarked images and logos will be disqualified. Examples of this would be the Nike “swoosh” or popular characters from shows, movies and books.
  • Only one application per student. Only the first doodle entered for each student will be considered, and any additional doodles will be disqualified.
