Jun

INACC offers school students a unique opportunity to experience space technology beyond classroom learning.

What is the Indian National Aerospace & CANSAT Challenge (INACC)?

INACC is a multi-phase experiential learning program that aims to inspire the next generation of scientists, aerospace engineers, innovators, and future astronauts. Unlike conventional science competitions, INACC combines theoretical knowledge with practical aerospace experiences, allowing students to understand real-world applications of STEM concepts.

One of the biggest highlights of the program is the opportunity for selected students to interact directly with:

  • ISRO Scientists
  • Aerospace Engineers
  • Space Technology Experts
  • Real Astronauts

The program welcomes students from Grades 5 to 12, and no prior technical knowledge or aerospace background is required.

Vision Behind INACC

The challenge has been designed with the vision of making aerospace education accessible to every young learner irrespective of their educational background or geographical location.

The initiative focuses on promoting:

  • Experiential STEM education
  • Scientific thinking and innovation
  • Aerospace awareness
  • Creativity and problem-solving
  • National-level participation

By connecting classroom science with practical aerospace applications, INACC encourages students to explore careers in science, engineering, and space technology from an early age.

INACC 2026 Competition Structure

The challenge is conducted in two exciting phases, allowing students to gradually progress from conceptual learning to hands-on aerospace projects.

Phase 1 – National Aerospace Olympiad

The first stage begins with an online national-level Olympiad that evaluates students' logical thinking, scientific aptitude, and basic understanding of aerospace and space science.

Step 1 – Online Registration

Students register through the official INACC portal by completing the online application process.

Step 2 – Online Olympiad

Registered participants appear for a 15-minute online Aerospace Olympiad, scheduled for 30th August 2026.

Step 3 – Qualification Results

Students who successfully qualify receive invitations to participate in exclusive aerospace mentorship sessions conducted by ISRO scientists, aerospace professionals, and astronauts.

Step 4 – Aerospace Mission Experience

Qualified participants advance to practical aerospace activities where they learn to build rockets and develop CanSat (Can-sized Satellite) payloads under expert supervision.

Phase 2 – Aerospace & CANSAT Challenge

Students selected for the second phase receive immersive practical exposure through activities such as:

  • Rocket design and construction
  • CanSat development
  • Simulated rocket launch missions
  • Aerospace engineering workshops
  • Advanced STEM-based problem-solving
  • Practical scientific experimentation

This phase transforms classroom concepts into real engineering experiences, helping students understand the fundamentals of aerospace innovation.

Why Should Students Participate in INACC?

The Indian National Aerospace & CANSAT Challenge provides much more than an Olympiad. Participants receive valuable exposure that can significantly strengthen their academic and career journey.

Explore Aerospace Science

Students gain foundational knowledge about rockets, satellites, launch systems, orbital science, and modern space missions.

Practical STEM Learning

Instead of relying solely on textbook concepts, participants learn by applying science through real aerospace activities.

Enhance Academic Profiles

Participation certificates, awards, and national-level recognition strengthen student portfolios for future admissions and scholarship opportunities.

Learn from Space Experts

Qualified students receive opportunities to interact with ISRO scientists, astronauts, engineers, and aerospace professionals.

Build Rockets and CanSats

Students gain practical experience in designing, assembling, and launching aerospace models under expert guidance.

Exposure to India's Growing Space Ecosystem

The initiative aligns with India's expanding aerospace ecosystem and promotes awareness of emerging opportunities in space technology and innovation.
