About IIM Bangalore
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is one of India's premier institutions for management and interdisciplinary education. Under the IIM Act of 2017, IIMB is an Institute of National Importance.
IIMB offers a four-year, full-time residential undergraduate programme that combines Data Science, Economics, Business Studies and interdisciplinary learning, with a strong focus on analytical skills, internships, global exposure and professional development.

NOTE – Both programmes are 4-year, full-time, fully residential programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the 2027–31 batch must meet the following requirements:
- The candidate must be 20 years of age or younger as on 1 August 2027.
- The candidate must have passed Class XII or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
- The candidate must have studied Mathematics in both Class XI and Class XII.
- The candidate must have scored at least 60% marks in Class X.
- Admission is based on performance in the IIMB UG Admission Test followed by a Personal Interview.

Syllabus
Mathematics: NCERT syllabus up to Class XII
The test assesses candidates across quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, logical reasoning, verbal ability and reading comprehension.
Shortlisting & Selection
Stage I – Shortlisting
Candidates must secure the required minimum scores across the UG Admission Test sections to be considered for the first shortlist.
For candidates who make the first shortlist, a pre-PI score is calculated using:

The 70 UG Test points are distributed as:
- QADI – 20 points
- LR – 30 points
- VARC – 20 points
The gender diversity component is used only at the pre-PI stage.
Stage II – Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Personal Interview in selected cities.

Required Documents
Candidates must submit the required documents as part of the application process, including:
- Class X board transcripts and certificate
- Class XII board transcripts and certificate
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate, if applicable
- Relevant disability certificate and UDID Card, where applicable
- Details of two referees
Reference Letters
Submission of two online reference letters is mandatory.
References should preferably be from teachers or academic professionals at an institution where the candidate is currently studying or has previously studied.
