Quiz competition on Consumer Empowerment

Department of Consumer Affairs (DoCA), Government of India, has been taking various initiatives for the protection and promotion of consumer rights in the country. The Department is celebrating the week from 14th March, 2022 to 20th March, 2022 as “Consumer Empowerment Week” to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The celebrations coincide with the World Consumer Rights Day, which falls on 15th March.

Department of Consumer Affairs and MyGov (collectively called “oragnisers”), bring to you a quiz competition on consumer rights and initiatives undertaken by the Department. Make an effort to test your awareness of consumer rights and initiatives undertaken by Department of Consumer Affairs.

 

Prizes

 

Winners will be given a certificate and prizes as under:

a. First prize (one): Rs 10,000/

b. Second prize (one): Rs 7,000/-

c. Third prize (one): Rs 5,000/-

Term & Conditions

 

  • The competition is open only to citizens of India
  • The following terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system.
  • Participants will be required to answer all 10 questions within a span of 10 minutes. You can skip a tough question and come back to it later
  • Entries once submitted cannot be withdrawn
  • Participant must ensure that his / her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since this information will be used by organisers for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, phone number and Aadhaar number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organisers reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition at any time or cancel the competition
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants, refuse entry, or discard entries, if such instances or participation is considered to be detrimental to the competition. Additionally, any entry will be considered void if the information submitted is illegible, incomplete, false, or erroneous
  • The answers given by the participants may be analysed by the organisers and made use of as deemed necessary. Participants will not claim any privacy or copyright or any other right over the answers submitted by them
  • The participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the quiz competition, including any amendments or further updates
  • By entering the quiz, the participant accepts and agrees to be bound by the above-mentioned terms and conditions
  • Winners will be adjudged on the basis of maximum number of correct answers.
  • If a winner is not contactable within 3 working days from the date of announcement of result, he / she will forfeit the prize and the next participant as determined by the described process will be contacted and given the prize until sufficient number of winners can be contacted
  • Access to quiz will be only through the MyGov platform. Entries submitted through any other medium / mode would not be considered for evaluation.
  • The quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the ‘Start Quiz’ button
  • Participants will be required to provide their name, email address, telephone number, and additional details as required by the entry form. By submitting their details and participating in the quiz, participants give consent to the MyGov platform and Department of Consumer Affairs to use this information as required to facilitate the conduct of the quiz competition, which may include conformation of participant details, announcement of winners, and disbursement of awards
  • Participants can only enter the quiz competition once. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be accepted and considered
  • Any changes to the terms and conditions, including evaluation and awards, or cancellation of the competition will be updated / posted on the MyGov platform. It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed of all such changes
  • Organisers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late, incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organisers’ control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same
  • Participants should not violate any provision of any intellectual property law. Any participant found violating any provision of any intellectual property law will be disqualified. Organisers do not bear any responsibility for violations of intellectual property laws carried out by the participants
  • Organisers’ decision on the quiz shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same
