About the Competition
The Wingword Poetry Competition 2026 is a prestigious national poetry competition designed to discover and encourage emerging poets across India. Open to Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin aged 15 years and above, the competition provides aspiring writers with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, gain national recognition, and take the first step toward a successful literary career.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to:
- Indian Nationals
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)
- Participants aged 15 years and above
Poems may be submitted in:
- English
- Hindi
- Regional Indian Languages including Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, and others.

Participants can submit one or multiple original poems through the official submission portal before the registration deadline.
