Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi - Commercial Pilot License Course is for the students who want to pursue their career in aviation. Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) offers 18 months (may get extended) course for Commercial Pilot License which is also famous as CPL.
Course Offered
IGRUA offers Ab-initio to CPL Course for issue of CPL with Multi–engine endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-engine Aircraft.
Eligibility Criteria

Marks: Candidate must have passed English, Maths & Physics with minimum 50% marks at 12th or equivalent in individual subjects.

Marital Status: Single, UNMARRIED.

Height – Minimum 158 cms and Maximum 185 cms.
Note

In case SC/ST/EWS and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.

Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree, being conducted simultaneously with CPL Course. Duration of this course will be 03 years. As of now 40 seats.

Candidates awaiting result for 2024 Class 12 Examination can also apply but they have to produce pass result with requisite marks in the subjects mentioned in para 3 above, at the time of Interview / Aptitude Test.

IGRUA has a tie up with FSTC for Type training on (A320/B737/ATR-72/Q-400) at their Gurugram or Hyderabad centers. It is mandatory for candidates who wish to undergo this particular training to indicate the same at the time of filling up the form for entrance exam.
Medical
Candidates must be at least 158cm in height. Selected candidates may join with class II medical, however they will have to clear & submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate subsequently. Please Click here for List of Centers/Doctors for Class-I & II medical available at DGCA Website.
Boarding & Lodging
Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Messing and hostel accommodation is provided. (Charges approximately Rs. 15,000/- per month).
Selection Process

ONLINE Computer Based Entrance Test
Syllabus - General English, Maths, Physics, Reasoning & Current Affairs (12th level objective type questions only and No negative marking). -
Pilot Aptitude Test
Only successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test shall qualify for Interview/Viva. -
Viva / Interview
All short listed Candidates will be required to produce following documents in original as well as one photocopy of each document at the time of interview (starting from 16 July 2024, Tuesday onwards).
i) Proof of Date of Birth (such as 10th Class certificate).
ii) 12th Mark sheet.
iii) Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates issued within last one year.
iv) A Certificate from the competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to Creamy layer.
v) A Certificate from an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar that the candidate falls under EWS category.
vi) Admit Card Downloaded for Written Test. -
Admission charges
All Selected Candidates including SC / ST / EWS / OBC will be required to pay:
a) Admission charges (Non-refundable) Rs. 50,000/-.
b) Commitment money of Rs. 2 Lacs (non-refundable but adjustable against the total fee).
c) The last date for the above payments is 06 Sep 2024 Friday to secure their seat on first come first serve basis. -
Training fees
i) Rs. 45 Lacs payable in four quarterly installments in one year. Additional expenditure for about Rs. 2.5 Lac towards cost of Uniform, Navigation Computer, Head Phones, etc. The training fee and other expenditure is same for all category candidates. E-Books of EASA from Pad Pilot will be made available. Candidates are to bring Tablet or Laptop for this purpose. ii) Candidates who opt for CPL with Type Training on aircraft mentioned above will have to pay the following additional fee for Type Training to FSTC directly – a) A 320 or B 737 – Rs. 17.00 Lakhs b) ATR – 72 or Q – 400 – Rs. 19.00 lakhs.

Pay their registration fees of Rs 12,000 (non refundable) for General, OBC and EWS candidates, to be paid either through internet banking, debit or credit cards as per instructions for Fee Deposit. The SC & ST candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
