About the Competition
Rashtriya Kavya Utsav 2026 is a National Poetry Recitation Competition organized by Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (ReP) to celebrate the beauty of poetry and encourage students to develop a deeper appreciation for literature. The competition invites students from Classes IX to XII to showcase their recitation skills, creativity, confidence, and love for poetry by presenting a poem from the official collection available on the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya platform.
Eligibility Criteria
Students studying in:
- Classes IX to XII
The competition is open to students from all recognized schools across India.
Each participant may submit only one entry.
Competition Format
Participants are required to:
- Register on the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya platform.
- Select one poem from the official Rashtriya Kavya Utsav collection.
- Record a 60–90 second poetry recitation video.
- Upload the video on an approved social media platform.
- Submit the online entry form along with the video link.

Students are encouraged to complete their submissions well before the deadline.
Video Guidelines
Participants must ensure that:
- The video duration is 60–90 seconds.
- The participant's face is clearly visible (frame up to the waist).
- The audio is clear and easily understandable.
- No background music is used.
- No dubbing or voice enhancement is applied.
- No AI-assisted narration is used.
- The recitation is entirely original and performed by the participant.
Registration Process
Step 1: Register on Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya
- Download the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya App (Android or iOS) or visit the web portal.
- Register and log in to your account.
Step 2: Select Your Poem
- Open the Rashtriya Kavya Utsav banner.
- Choose one poem from the official competition collection.
Step 3: Record Your Video
Create a poetry recitation video following all the official guidelines.
Step 4: Upload on Social Media
Upload your video on any one of the following platforms:
- YouTube
- X (formerly Twitter)
While uploading, participants must:
- Tag the official Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya account.
- Use the hashtag #RashtriyaKavyaUtsav.

Step 5: Submit Your Entry
Complete the online submission form with:
- Participant details
- School details

Only complete submissions with valid video links will be considered.
