Joint Admission Committee JAC (Chandigarh) – 2024 Counseling Process

About Us

JAC or Joint Admission Committee conducts admissions to BE, BArch, Integrated BE (Chemical), MBA courses offered by listed institutes in Chandigarh on the basis of JEE Main scores and pass percentage secured in Class XII or equivalent examination. The admission process is popularly known as JAC Chandigarh admissions. Since admissions are based on All India Ranks of JEE Main, there is no entrance exam. Interested candidates only have to apply for the counseling process conducted by JAC.

Important Points

1. All India Rank prepared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) based on score in JEE (Main)-
2024 for B.E./B.Tech. shall be used for admission to B.E./Integrated B.E.(Chemical) - MBA by
JAC - 2024.
2. For admission to B.Arch., All India Rank prepared by the NTA based on score in JEE (Main) -
2024 for B.Arch. (Paper 2A) shall be used.
3. A candidate belonging to any category shall be considered for seat allocation if he/she is
declared successful in 12th or equivalent examination by Board/University/Council.
4. A candidate who gets a compartment in the 12th /equivalent examination held in April/May 2024
shall be eligible for admission under JAC-2024, if he/she clears the same (by appearing in the
supplementary examination) before the last date of registration.
5. Aggregate marks percentage in 12th or equivalent examination shall be worked out as
suggested by the certificate awarding Board/University/Council. If the
Board/University/Council awards letter grades without providing the equivalent percentage of
marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the respective
Board/University/Council specifying equivalent percentage conversion formula and submit at
the time of reporting/counselling. In the absence of such a certificate, the decision of JAC 2024 regarding his/her eligibility shall be final.
