About the Competition

 

The GIANT Hunt is a global online anime and manga art competition organized by Image Infotainment Limited (IMAGE Group). The contest is being conducted as an official attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the highest participation in an anime art contest. It provides anime enthusiasts, students, and artists an opportunity to showcase their creativity on an international platform.

Eligibility Criteria

 

The competition is open to participants across three age categories:

  • KI Level: 8–15 years

  • ZEN Level: 16–24 years

  • KAMI Level: 25 years and above

Participants must register under the appropriate age category. Minors may participate with parental consent.

Theme

 

Participants must create one original anime or manga-style character based on any one of the following character types:

  • Hero

  • Heroine

  • Mentor

  • Rival

  • Ally

  • Villain

  • Monster

The artwork should clearly reflect the personality and role of the selected character. AI-generated artwork and copyrighted characters are not allowed.

How to Apply

 

  1. Visit the official website.

  2. Register online.

  3. Create an original anime character based on one of the seven character types.

  4. Capture or scan the artwork clearly.

  5. Upload the submission through the online portal before the deadline.

  • Registration Open: April 2026 onwards

  • Submission Deadline: 30 June 2026

  • Jury Evaluation: June–July 2026

  • Results Announcement: 31 July 2026
