About the Award
The GEMA International Young Scientist Award 2026 is an international platform designed to encourage scientific thinking, creativity and innovation among young students.
The award gives students an opportunity to explore science beyond textbooks and classroom activities by creating a simple, creative and interesting scientific project.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to students from Grades 1 to 12.
Students will participate in four categories based on their grade:

Students can select a basic scientific concept or principle and demonstrate their understanding through an experiment, activity, working model or chart presentation.
Project Format
Students can participate by presenting a project based on a scientific concept.
The project may be presented as:
- A scientific experiment
- A hands-on activity
- A working model
- A chart-based project
Students can submit either:
- A recorded video, or
- A written project report with images
The project should demonstrate the student's understanding of a scientific concept through practical exploration.
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

- 10 Gold Medals for Outstanding Projects in each category
Additional Recognition
- Selected winners may receive recognition through press releases
- Every participant will receive an E-Certificate
- Teachers/coordinators submitting bulk entries can receive a Trophy and Certificate
- The school with the most entries will receive special recognition and a Trophy

Registration Fee
₹500 per participant
The registration fee for participating in the GEMA International Young Scientist Award 2026 is INR 500 per participant.
How to Participate
- Check your grade and select the appropriate category.
- Choose a simple scientific concept or principle.
- Develop an experiment, activity, working model or chart-based project.
- Prepare your project presentation.
- Submit a recorded video or written project report with images.
- Complete the online registration and pay the applicable fee.
- Submit the project before the registration and submission deadline.
