So, navigate your way through an assortment of thrilling and brainstorming questions that form the crux of economic theories.

Eligibility:

  • Only school students from standard XI (2022-23), XII (2022-23) and first-year undergraduate students can participate in the Olympiad.
  • Team Size: Individual
  • Registration Fee: INR 149
  • Early Bird Registration: INR 100 (till November 14, 2022)

General Instructions:

  • A booklet will be provided few days before the prelims round .
  • The Olympiad consists of two rounds namely the Preliminary & Advance Rounds.
  • The participants for the Advance round will be shortlisted based on the percentile method.
  • Round 1 consists of 50 questions that are to be attempted within 60 minutes. The round consists of questions based on Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Indian Economic Development, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs.
  • Round 2 consists of 50 questions which are to be attempted within 75 minutes consisting of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Indian Economic Development, Logical Reasoning, and Case Studies.
  • Each correct answer would reward you 2 marks in round one and four marks in round two.
  • No negative marking in the Preliminary Round.
  • For the Advance Round, a negative marking of 25% (1 mark) is applicable per incorrect answer.
  • In the case of a stalemate, the timing of submission would be taken into consideration.
  • In case of any dispute, the decision of the Hansraj Economics Society is final and binding.

Prelims: Round 1 consists of 50 MCQ questions which are to be attempted within 60 minutes consisting of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Indian Economic Development, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs. Each question carries 2 marks and there is no negative marking applicable in this round.

Final: Round 2 consists of MCQ questions on Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Indian Economic Development, and Logical Reasoning. Each question carries 4 marks and for each incorrect answer, a negative marking of 25% (1 mark) is applicable. Apart from this, the final round will also have a case study for which participants will be required to send in their solutions in a presentation format.

Prizes and Rewards:

  • All participants to receive digital certificates authorized by The Hansraj Economics Department.
  • Winners to receive cash prizes worth Rs. 10,000
