Loyola College, a Catholic Minority Institution, was founded by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1925, with the primary objective of providing University Education in a Christian atmosphere for deserving students irrespective of caste and creed. NAAC accreditation score in 2012 (Third Cycle) is 3.70 out of 4.00 CGPA. Loyola College is ranked 6th among Arts and Science Colleges in India by NationalInstitutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India, in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

ADMISSION IN LOYOLA


Admission into Loyola is competitive. The selection policies and admission process are unique. We welcome applicants from diverse social, cultural, economic, ethnic and geographical backgrounds. As per the Jesuit Chennai Province preferential option, Dalit Catholics, Catholics, Tribals, and other marginalized in the society would be given priority.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Students who have completed the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Course or any other course, recognized by University of Madras as equivalent to it, are eligible for admission to the bachelor’s degree course. The applicant who has passed the following examination should submit an eligibility certificate from University of Madras.
• Higher Secondary or equivalent examination conducted by all other State Boards except Tamil Nadu
• All degree (UG/PG) examinations conducted by any university / foreign universities other than University of Madras


The online registration process should be completed within 10 working days from the date of publication of +2 results of Tamil Nadu State Board.

If the results are not published for any other board before the last date of the online submission of application, then the students are asked to complete the online registration within 3 working days from the date of publication of the result of those boards.

 

SELECTION PROCESS


Original Documents
At the time of interview, the original documents of all certificates uploaded along with the online application should be produced for verification. Information will be given only to those who are provisionally selected. They have to present themselves along with any one of the parents for interview with the Principal on the date mentioned in the call letter. Failure to be present on the scheduled date and time will lead to cancellation of admission. 

The information of selection will be sent to the registered Mobile No. via SMS. It will also be posted in the registered online portal and the college website (www.loyolacollege.edu). 

UG Admission
Screening process for all shortlisted candidates for UG courses (B.Sc. Viscom, B.M.M., B.Voc., B.Com. Accounting and Finance, B.Com. (Hons), B.Com. Computer Applications and BBA France will be conducted. The list of students eligible for the screening process will be published in the online portal and thereafter admission will take place.
