Admission Process
 

Azim Premji University follows a three-step application and selection process for undergraduate admissions.

Step 1 – Online Application

Candidates need to complete the online application form by providing their personal and educational details.

The application fee is ₹500.

Students can apply for a maximum of two programmes, while the application fee remains ₹500.

Step 2 – National Entrance Test / External Test Scores

Applicants have two options:

Option 1 – National Entrance Test

Students can appear for the National Entrance Test conducted by Azim Premji University.

Option 2 – External Test Scores

The University accepts scores from external examinations.

For all UG programmes except ITEP, students can submit:

  • CUET-UG

  • SAT

For B.Sc. programmes, the University also accepts:

  • JEE Main

  • IISER

  • NEET

  • NEST

  • KCET

For ITEP B.Sc. B.Ed., students need to appear for NCET.

National Entrance Test – Exam Pattern
 

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Negative Marking: No

The test consists of:

  • Reading Comprehension: 20 MCQs

  • Quantitative Reasoning: 20 MCQs

  • Domain-specific Questions: 20 MCQs

Students applying to the Bhopal campus as their first preference may receive a bilingual English-Hindi question paper. However, this option is not available for B.A. English applicants.

Step 3 – Personal Interview
 

Depending on the admission criteria, shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for a personal online interview.

For applicants using external test scores, the Admissions Committee will decide the relevant cut-offs, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

ITEP B.Sc. B.Ed. Admissions
 

Admission to the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) will be through NCET 2027, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Students need to register separately for NCET and apply to Azim Premji University after receiving their 2027 NCET score.

Eligibility for ITEP

Candidates must have completed or be completing Grade XII or an equivalent examination with an aggregate of 55% marks.

Students with Grade XII qualifications from outside India or from boards not specified by the University may need an AIU equivalence certificate.

Academic Support for Selected Students
 

Azim Premji University provides academic support to selected applicants based on their performance in the entrance test and interviews.

The support course is offered before the first semester and is mandatory for students who are shortlisted for it.

How to Apply
 

  1. Register online on the Azim Premji University application portal.

  2. Select your preferred undergraduate programme(s).

  3. Complete the application form.

  4. Pay the ₹500 application fee.

  5. Choose the National Entrance Test or submit eligible external test scores.

  6. Appear for the personal interview, if shortlisted.

  7. Regularly check your applicant portal and registered email for admission updates.
