At Mount Carmel, we provide an all-round education to impart academic excellence and ensure that our students are equipped with the tools to make an impact in the world.

Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru is owned and administered by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST). Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) was founded on the 24th of April, 1887 by Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima in the town of Ernakulum in Kerala.As the calendar has run its course, her prowess led to the formulation of Mount Carmel College which now stands as one of the most renowned institutions in Karnataka, engaged in the quest to impart holistic education. As a Catholic and a Carmelite Institute, it strives to promote the holistic development of young minds based on the integral amalgamation of the human persona, life, and the world. 

Today, the college offers 34 undergraduate programs, 2 B.Voc programs, 18 post graduate programs and doctoral programs. Affiliated to Bangalore University, MCC was granted autonomous status in 2005. The college has successfully completed three rounds of accreditation by NAAC and was awarded “A” grade.

Eligibility Criteria

 

BA Programme/BCA

Academic Qualification: pass in two year Pre-University Examinations conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board or any other examination considered as equivalent

B.Sc Programme

Academic Qualification: A candidate who has passed the two year Pre-University Examinations conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board or any other examination considered as equivalent. A candidate to opt for Physics should have studied Mathematics in addition to Physics at the qualifying examination, for Statistics should have studied that subject or Mathematics at the qualifying examination, for Biotechnology, Botany, Environ mental Science, Human Development, Microbiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, or Zoology should have studied that subject or Biology, and Chemistry at the qualifying examination

B.Com

Academic Qualification: Students who have completed two years Pre-University Course in Commerce of Karnataka or Class XII of CBSE/ISC or equivalent there to are eligible to apply for B.Com. Programs.

BBA

Academic Qualification: Students who have completed two-year Pre-University Course in Commerce/ Arts/ Science/ of Karnataka / Class XII – CBSE/ISC or Equivalent.

BA (hons) Communication Studies

Academic Qualification: first class pass in Class 12 or equivalent and pass in entrance test is the eligibility condition

 

Selection Process

 

B.Com

Admission will be done on the Merit basis

BBA/ BA Communication studies/ B.Sc IDM

Admission will be done on the basis of entrance exam

BCA

walk-in interview after the announcement of II PUC Results (Maths background Compulsory at the PUC / +2 /equivalent course)

BA & B.Sc

walk-in interview after the announcement of Results II PUC Results.
