SOF is an Educational Organization popularizing academic competition and assisting development of competitive spirit among school children. All activities of the Foundation invariably aim at making learning an interesting and interactive process in which the learner is actually able to put his / her skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test.

For this, the Foundation conducts workshops, seminars and science/IT competitions for students of different classes and age groups. International Commerce Olympiad (ICO) is one of the many Olympiads being conducted by the organization.

ICO is launched in partnership with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a statutory body under an Act of Parliament, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. 11th, 12th students are at the threshold of making the most crucial decision about their career, this Olympiad assists the students in self realization of their potential and aptitude.

Registration:

  • Open to students of classes 11th and 12th (all streams)
  • Students can register through their respective schools
  • Individual registrations by students are not accepted
  • A minimum of 5 students need to be registered from each school for SOF ICO

Exam Conduction:

  • Conducted on 2 dates for level 1
  • Dates to be selected by the School

Exam Pattern:

This exam is conducted at one level only, during school working hours.
- Level 1 (organized in respective schools of students)

Syllabus for the Exam:

  • Introductory Microeconomics, Statistics for Economics, Nature and Purpose of Business, Forms of Business Organizations, Public, Private and Global Enterprises, Business Services, Emerging modes of Business, Social Responsibility of Business and Business Ethics, Sources of Business Finance, Small Business, Internal trade, International Business, Theoretical framework, Accounting Process, Financial Statements of Sole Proprietorship from complete and incomplete records and Computers in Accounting.

 

  • Higher Order Thinking Questions from the above syllabus are asked in the Achiever’s section.
