About Us
Mathematics Teachers Association – India (MTA - I) was founded at a meeting of the founding members held on 20 March 2018 at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai, with the objective of bringing together teachers, educators and mathematicians in a joint endeavour, with the aim to serve as an instrument to improve the standards of mathematics at various levels, generate interest in mathematics among students through various activities, nurture mathematical talent etc.
About The Olympiad
Mathematics Teachers Association – India (MTA - I) has been in charge of organizing, in collaboration with HBCSE, the PRMO (Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad) which is the first step in the sequential selection process towards participation in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The participation in PRMO by a large number of students has been a source of much cheer. Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics – IOQM 2025 is the current Olympiad going on.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students who have Mathematics as a subject.

Students from Class 8th to 12th.

Age - Students born between August 1, 2006 and July 31, 2013, and studying in Class 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12, are eligible to write IOQM 2025. Please note that NO student born on or after August 1, 2013 will be allowed to write IOQM 2025.

The students must be eligible to hold Indian passport. Provisionally, students with OCI cards are eligible to write the IOQM 2025 subject to conditions applicable as per MTA (Refer Eligibility PDF).

The student must be residing and studying in India since 30 October 2023 or earlier OR must be studying in an Indian school system since 30 October 2023 or earlier.

> Students of JNV – RS 180
> Students of KV – RS 180
> Students of All other schools – RS 300.
