About National Standard Examination Junior

NSEJS in Junior Science) are nationwide examination organized by IAPT.                             

All further stage is conducted by Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai.

 

ELIGIBILITY-

1. Must be eligible to hold an Indian passport.

2. Date of birth between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2007, both days inclusive.

3. Must be residing and studying in India since November 30, 2018 or earlier.

Must be studying in an Indian school system since November 30, 2018 or earlier.

4. Must not have passed (or scheduled to complete) class X board examination or equivalent earlier than November 30, 2020.

5. Must not be appearing for any of NSEA, NSEB, NSEC or NSEP 2020.

 

Level of Question Paper

TEST is based on the syllabus up to Class X of CBSE India. All the basic subjects of science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and Mathematics may have roughly equal emphasis.

 

How do I enroll myself?

You must enroll yourself from your OWN School / College. The Principal (or Physics or Science Teacher) of your College / Jr. College / High School will enroll you. He / She will give you all further instructions. In case you have any difficulty then refer to IAPT website

 The list of registered centres will be available on the website by August 21, 2020. The name of contact person at the respective centre is also indicated.

NO DIRECT ENROLMENT

 

 

The International Olympiad (IO) programme follows a five stage process.

  • Stage one - National Standard Examinations (NSEs) in Junior Science organized by IAPT.

All the subsequent stages are conducted by Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai.( www.hbcse.tifr.res.in )

 

  • Stage two - is the Indian National Olympiad (INO) examinations. The eligible students from stage one can participate in INO in respective subjects
  • Stage three - is the Orientation Cum Selection Camps (OCSC). For these camps, about 35 students in each subject will be selected from INO on performance basis
  • Stage four - These students will have a Pre Departure Training (PDT) for two weeks.
  • Stage five - Participation in International Olympiad (IO) of the selected students
