  • Digital SAT will be applicable from 2024.
  • Exam will be conducted for 2 hours rather than for 3 hours
  • Students with disabilities can take the digital tests with accommodations that are the same or comparable to those they’d use when taking paper tests.
  • All students must use school/test centre-owned laptops, desktops, iPad, or Chromebooks to take digital tests. No smart phones allowed.
  • For the parts of the tests that allow calculators, students will have access to the Desmos online calculator. They can also bring their own, if it's on our list of approved calculators, but they can't share it with other test takers.

Will it be difficult to take the test Online?

If you prefer tests offline, you might be apprehensive about the online version of the test. Good news is that most students in the pilot test found it more intuitive and simpler. When College Board says the digital version of the test is more "intuitive" they mean it is “simpler to navigate” and “simpler to answer without fatigue.” According to the Pilot Digital Test conducted by College Board in November 2021, 81% of the students wanted to submit their scores for the college applications. The positive outcome was that the students felt less stressful.

We would recommend students who will be appearing in SAT 2024 to practice for SAT on their laptop, computers so that they it becomes easier for them and prepare well for the exam.
