Introduction

 

Bioinformatics or computational biology is the use of information technology in the field of molecular biology, or the application of computer technology to the management and analysis of biological data.

A bioinformatics scientist is someone who applies information technology and computer science into the area of biology. This is done for the purpose of studying, analyzing, and processing genomic information as well as other forms of biological information.

Eligibility

 

The basic educational qualification to enter a program in Bioinformatics is 10+2 completed with science as the subject.
